ServeNow.com Releases ServeManager, Electronic Service of Process Tracking Software

Denver, CO (PRWEB) November 19, 2009

ServeNow.com is proud to announce ServeManager (https://http://www.servemanager.com), an online software application that allows legal professionals to receive real-time status updates on jobs from process servers. This software, free for legal professionals, lets users view and manage all service of process in one central interface, regardless of the number of process serving companies used. With support from ServeNow.com’s trusted network of process servers (http://www.serve-now.com), ServeManager reduces the stress of finding an experienced process server while simplifying the communication during the life cycle of the serve.

ServeManager helps legal professionals work smarter by providing:

Complete job life cycle management.
A secure platform for uploading service documents and downloading affidavits.
One easy interface to manage service of process across various companies.
Service address geo-coding for address verification.
Instant notification of changes to a job or successful service.
Job history and document archival.
24-hour access to job status from any computer or smartphone.
Multiple users accounts within the same company.

With the ability to check serve status from an Internet connection at anytime, legal professionals can spend less time on the phone talking to process servers and more time focusing on other aspects of their job.

“The development of ServeManager came in response to a major frustration from the legal community regarding service of process – ‘What’s the status of my serve?’,” said ServeNow.com co-founder, Trent Carlyle. “In organizations that have a high serve volume, getting status updates via phone, fax and email was once a full-time job. We also found a number of other broken pieces in the process that the software solves. If you hire process servers, ServeManager enables you to focus on the more productive aspects of your law firm or business.”

Because ServeManager is tied into ServeNow.com, jobs can be assigned to local qualified process servers with one click. If a preferred process server is not a member of ServeNow.com, users can invite their favorite process servers to create a free account.

ServeManager is easily integrated into any legal department or organization. An administrator can set up multiple accounts for all legal professionals within an organization managing service of process. With the ability to control permission levels, the administrator can access all jobs while allowing employees to manage specific jobs. The ability to manage permission levels keeps sensitive data involving court cases safe.

ServeManager revolutionizes the communication process between legal professionals and the process servers they use. By allowing legal professionals to access the status of their serve around the clock, ServeManager simplifies service of process and reduces the stress of having papers served. Deadlines and court cases become easier to manage with ServeManager.

Business Owners Can Now Put the Squeeze on Bad Check Writers with Latest Bill Collector In A Box Software Upgrade

Indian Wells, Calif. (Vocus) October 25, 2007

Bill Collector In A Box, the only PC software that puts expert bill collection strategies and techniques at the fingertips of businesses and entrepreneurs, now includes the ability for businesses of all sizes to report a writer of bad checks to the same central bureau used by major retailers, giving that person a major incentive to settle past-due invoices. The SCAN (Shared Check Authorization Network) report feature built into the latest version of Bill Collector In A Box means that a business owner can exert significant control over a customer that has written an NSF check (non-sufficient funds) or other type of returned check, and is unwilling to pay the amount owed plus bank fees. This is one of the many collection features included with the software.

SCAN is used by banking institutions and thousands of major retailers, including Home Depot, Nordstrom, Sears, Target and Wal-Mart, to screen out writers of bad checks. When a person who has been reported to SCAN presents a check or tries to open a bank account at over 71,000 locations, he or she is handed a denial card and asked to contact SCAN. SCAN then directs the customer to the merchant that reported the bad check, who can collect the payment and, with one click in the new Bill Collector In A Box software package, remove the customer from the SCAN database.

Bill Collector In A Box centralizes the management of past-due accounts, from initial contact to resolution of the outstanding invoice. The latest version, now available at Fry’s Electronics, Office Depot, and Micro Center, includes other new features to make the task of tracking past-due invoices and collections less time-consuming and more effective:

Automatic printing of professional-quality legal letters that provide a debtor with warning about impending legal action. The software also includes a wide variety of debt-collection letters that comply with state and federal laws.
Court information recording that provides an easy way to store details of litigation or small-claims actions.

Other features built into the software enable business owners to easily perform and manage all of the typical phases of debt collection:

Credit bureau reporting. Reporting a bad debt to a credit bureau is an effective way to convince debtors that they need to quickly settle their invoices. With one click, Bill Collector In A Box reports a bad debt to the major credit bureaus for up to 7 years.
Skip Tracing. If a debtor has left town with no forwarding address and has disconnected phones, one click instructs Bill Collector In A Box to engage a professional investigator who will track down the debtor. 25 basic skip traces and 1 advanced skip trace are included with the software.
Processing of credit card and ACH transactions (through PPI Inc.) to enable fast settlement of invoices.
Comprehensive report generation as well as importing and exporting of .CSV files to/from popular accounting software programs.

Bill Collector In A Box runs on Windows PCs and complements popular accounting and personal-finance software such as Quicken®, QuickBooks®, Microsoft® Money and Microsoft® Accounting Professional.

“Small business owners frequently deal with chronic late payment and bad debt issues, and this costs their business time and money,” said Ryon Gambill, president and CEO of Marauder Corp. and a collections professional. “We designed Bill Collector In A Box so that small-business owners can take the right steps to resolve past-due accounts, and turn debts into revenue.”

Bill Collector In A Box lists for and is available at Amazon.com, Fry’s Electronics, J&R Electronics, Micro Center, OfficeDepot.com, PCnation.com, and Shopblt.com. Unlimited technical support, including an initial familiarization walk-through of the software, is included.

New Software Lets Small Businesses Take Control of Past-Due Invoices

Indian Wells, Calif. (Vocus) June 25, 2007

Invoice management and chasing down late payers is a time-consuming and frustrating aspect of running a small or medium-size business. For these business owners or their office managers, the effort and expense associated with convincing delinquent accounts to settle past-due invoices can outweigh the returns. Experts know that the longer an account stays ‘past due,’ the less likely it will be paid, but many businesses do not have the tools and staff to effectively manage ongoing late payment problems and debt collection.

Bill Collector In A Box, a new billing and debt collection software application designed by a team of collection agency professionals, aims to solve this headache for businesses and accounts receivable departments. Bill Collector In A Box centralizes the management of past-due accounts from initial contact to resolution of the outstanding invoice. For businesses faced with debtors, the software pays for itself within months. Bill Collector In A Box runs on Windows PCs and complements popular accounting and personal-finance software such as Quicken®, QuickBooks®, Microsoft® Money and Microsoft® Accounting Professional.

Bill Collector In A Box enables business owners to easily perform and manage all of the typical phases of debt collection:

•Automatic printing of professional, legal debt-collection letters that comply with state and federal laws. The software automatically schedules follow-up letters and provides reminders of the next steps to be taken with each debtor.

•Credit bureau reporting. Reporting a bad debt to a credit bureau is an effective way to convince debtors that they need to quickly settle their invoices. With one click, Bill Collector In A Box reports a bad debt to the major credit bureaus.

•Skip Tracing. If a debtor has left town with no forwarding address, Bill Collector In A Box lets a business owner engage a professional investigator who will track down the debtor. 25 basic skip traces and 1 advanced skip trace are included with the software.

•Processing of credit card and ACH transactions to enable fast settlement of invoices.

•Comprehensive report generation as well as importing and exporting of .CSV files to/from popular accounting software programs.

•Technical support, including an initial, personal familiarization walk-through of the software with a support technician, is included.

“Small business owners frequently deal with chronic late payment and bad debt issues, and this costs their business time and money,” said Ryon Gambill, president and CEO of Marauder Corp.
